What's Your Favorite Hunting Gun

In thick brush or in the mountains I'll use a Marlin 30-30 because of weight and it never fails. For open spaces that you can stretch a gun I have a Ruger m77 in 270 and its a fine hunting rifle.

I use for deer is my Browning BAR 30-06, Mathews Bow. For Turkey I ise my Rem 870 Express super mag, Mathews Bow and I will use my recently aquired New England single shot 10 gauge. These I use the most or will be using the most.

remmy 700 .270 has a few battle scars on the wood but we go way back.

Yessir, I happened to be along for a few of those scratches! You owe those to some nasty Montana greasewood and sagebrush...!!!

I have a Spartan 12g over/under I use for anything with wings. Overall reasonably happy with the gun. My encore has been getting the nod lately for everything else. I have a few different barrels so I change accordingly.

I have a few that occasionally go out strictly for something different. The two above are sort of the go too's though

Well seeing I have never been hunting in my 36 years of life and this year will be the first time i would have to say my Grandfathers ( hand me down ) Remington model 141 pump action rifle in 35 caliber. Took it to the range for the first time in over 6 years. Shot it pretty good. I shot at 50 yards ( just me sitting at a rest ) and 100 yards (sand bag) and I would say I was accurate enough to kill a deer. It is pretty col to think I might get a deer with the same gun my grandfather did over 35 years ago. (Dad never hunted with it)

Usually my Savage 30/06 for deer, but since last season I have aquired a 7mm mag and a 300 mag also Savages.....Most accurate guns out of the box I have ever owned. I'm not sure what i will use mostly this year but I do know 1 or 2 days will be reserved for the Ruger 44 mag Super Blackhawk.
