Ovince St. Preux - former Vol Football player, fighting out of Knoxville Martial Arts Academy, is fighting in the UFC prelims.

 

Pretty cool to have a K-town boy on t.v.  It was neat to hear "Fighting out of KNOXVILLE, TN!"

Yes, end of the 2nd round.  not much of a fight.  Both guys look winded already.

 

Not saying I would want to be in that ring.  Just speaking as a spectator.

I turned on the prelims halfway into that fight. I didn't realize he was from Knoxville, that's cool. The ref didn't call that right, very controversial....

he is a great guy and class act i  trained with him at KMAA. he will do big things in the UFC

I worked a StrikeForce fight in Nashville that he fought in, did his prefight physical and post fight eval.  Nice guy.  Daniel Cormier who is now kicking ass in the UFC fought that night too.

JeffCo area has another kid that fought in the UFC sometime back and is still a high level pro. Waylon Lowe. I was wrestling when he was in TN, tough dude, mean as hell and a real a-hole. Hope this other kid continues to develop. He looked alright except for his takedown attempts. They looked horrible.
