I guess since I have sent several emails to him regarding Jimmy Naifeh I have ended up in his contact list.

Anyway, here is the email that was sent to me. The word LEGALLY was capitalized by him so I wonder if this means he thinks like many other people do?

Hello Everyone,

Please give me a by on this email, I don't normally pass my opinions out as a suggestion, not via email anyway. I feel compelled in this situation because of a mailer I received from Bob Doll's campaign. Bob attacked Barrett Rich for attending Jimmy Naifeh's "coon supper". I have never been a Democrat, never run for election as a Democrat, and will never be a Democrat but I was at the "coon supper" also. I attended the Leadership Fayette class this year as did Barrett and his wife and attending the "coon supper" was a part of the class assignment. It was a pleasant time at this event and we accomplished our goal of building our "networking" skills. To be attacked for attending a function such as this by a person who obviously has very shallow convictions as to where his political allegiances are is laughable. To those of you who might not know Bob ran as a Democrat last election cycle and was supported by Jimmy Naifeh.

If you are on my email list you are probably a huge supporter of the Second Amendment. I attended the candidate forum at the Lutheran church in Oakland recently and Bob Doll was one of the candidates who spoke that night. I could not believe one of the things he said that night! He said that the position of State Representative has NO effect on our Second Amendment rights OR the Right To Life. Excuse me but I don't think I can LEGALLY carry into Red Lobster or Chili's yet! I think it is still legal to get a partial birth abortion in Tennessee! These are issues we have been trying to change here in Tennessee for many years but have been obstructed by Representative Jimmy Naifeh. So I guess the office of State Representative DOES have an effect on our Second Amendment rights!

I tried to talk to Bob Doll that night to inform him of his mistake but he did not want to talk about it. I will say for disclosure that I am supporting Barrett Rich and I ask you to consider supporting Barrett also. If you are supporting Bob Doll I would ask that you reconsider supporting someone who is obviously ill informed about the responsibility he is trying to take on. Can we trust him when we are again trying to enhance our Second Amendment rights? I don't think so, he has not shown any core values with his flip-flops. We have an opportunity to take over the lead in the State House and we need a good solid conservative representing us. Please vote wisely!
