Does CNN make us less safe or more safe?

I grew up pre-www and my friends and I were building bombs at a similar level of sophistication. We didn't add the shrapnel material, we just liked blowing shit up. The knowledge was out there long ago.

"If it bleeds it leads..." CNN is inherently progressive, which explains their ratings, which are in the toilet lately.  Sidenote..  Part of my misspent youth... loved blowing stuff up...  this information has been around a long time.

I understand all of these arguments, but is it appropriate for CNN to tell people were to go to find this information? Seems like they are helping potential terrorists. I think it makes us less safe. Not to mention basically giving out a link to an AL Qaeda propaganda web site.

No, it is not.  Yes, any yahoo can go out on the internet to find the information but it really is irresponsbile for news media to actually enable the process.

It's simply because they want more people to access it so they can get more stories and change the reporting from "rogue lunatic bomber" to " terrorist epedemic bombings due to [insert group here]"

Nah they aren't. If you are intelligent enough to find the links on CNN you are intelligent to find it faster with just a Google search. I mean one of the top results for my quick search was a wikiHow... They aren't making it easier to access, just trying to scare people into realizing how easy it is to find...if said person is too scared to type in "how to make a bomb" in Google. I doubt seriously anyone in the bomb making mentality is saying "Darn, I don't know where to find a bomb recipe...OH, Let me check CNN!" lol
