First AR purchase!

I'm giddy like a school girl! Drove to KY from Nashville to a LGS in the middle of nowhere (Whittaker's) to look for stripped lowers. All they had was a Stag Arms for $149.99 but I was going to have to transfer it which put the price over $200 after FFL, shipping, and tax. After looking around, I found a S&W M&P15 Sport (NY state model) for only $629. Considering I was going to change all the furniture anyways, and I have a 30 rd PMag, I snatched this up! Can't wait to shoot it!

I think you did good buying the complete gun for $429 more than just the lower. Whittakers is a cool shop and the folks there were polite and helpful despite being covered up while i was there. I think my biggest suggestion to anyone who makes the drive is to go on into Owensboro and eat at Moonlite Bbq.. It is some of the best you will eat within 500 miles of here.

Moonlight is a must.  However, I would recommend hitting it after you go to the gun shop because you'll be in a food coma.  Be careful driving home afterwards.  :)
