Story sure didn't get any legs, being two months old now.

Must not have actually been true, or would have caught on like wildfire, seems to me. Matter of fact, I never heard a peep from NRA regarding this. You?

Sorry folks but anything that links to infowars.com is not worth even reading.. They might get some stuff right, but the rest is just moonbat shit..

Alex Jones is so over the top, that even if he got something spot on, no one is going to listen to him.  He is the proverbial "Boy that Cried Wolf".  I refuse to listen to him or read anything that comes from his website.

The ultimate goal of these commies is about getting our guns, and they will never rest until every last one is confiscated. You don't have to read infowars.com to know that unless you are totally brain dead.

OP: we got the memo back in feb. It is on http://www.nraila.org/media/10883516/nij-gun-policy-memo.pdf and was redalerted on drudge with articles in wash times/huffpo/nationalreview/dailykos/blaze etc. All of which will as you can see from the above responses garner a more credible thread dialogue than infowars or sites that source infowars. There should be a thread here on tgo somewhere I'm sure, I don't think we would have missed that en masse.

Doesn't seem we're talking same documents here? Your link is the one that merely iterates that assault weapons ban would have little impact on crime, and was used by NRA as counter argument against legislation.

Or is the original topic just relating to same doc, just having been re-AlexJonesed?

Alex has a whole different way of reading a document. Drink a half can of zippo lighter fluid and read it again. You will see the light :)

Thank you again for making my day.

The biggest threat an armed society poses is to keep at bay any political over ambition (nice way of saying "Control of the Masses). The end goal is clearly the total ban of all firearms. A simple google search of statements made to disarm America will give hours of reading from many reliable sources. The extreme Liberal knows that mass killings cannot be stopped in cases of dedicated, violent and focused individuals or groups. They don't really care, but will use every tragedy to further the end goal.  It's all about getting control and forcing America to depend on it's government for everything.
