I went to a prison guard job fair, didn't get a call back. I have an AAS in police science. I thought getting a prison guard job would be a given. Since it didn't happen, I'm starting to get worried about my future employment prospects. If anybody knows of anything, ANYWHERE. I would really appreciate it.

Seriously though, there are several positions open at my facility in Goodlettsville, good benefits, but the hours suck. A lot. It is hard work and pays crap, but it is steady.  PM me if you would like some more information.

Here in Memphis you can work for Rural Metro Ambulance without EMT or Paramedic cert. We hire almost every month. Then you can get your EMT on the side. The pay as a driver sucks, its minimum wage but its a job and a foot in the door for a career. Let me know if you would like more information. Goodluck!

I dont know about other Tennessee branches but in Memphis you can drive an ambulance with a minimum of CPR and an F endorsement on your drivers liscense. They will likley make you get your Mississppi driver certification as well.

Thanks for all the replies guys. As far as Metro Nashville, I know I'm too out of shape to be doing that. While I certainly look forward to maintaining a gym membership and getting in better shop once I have a job, the issue still stands that I know I couldn't make it through MNPD training.
