Iran hangs 29 people

TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran hanged 29 people at dawn on Sunday - 27 July 2008 after they had been convicted of murder, drug trafficking and other crimes, state run television reported.

I know the country is run by a bunch of s h i t birds BUT they do seem to know how to take care of their vermin.

The problem with the justice system in this country is that punishment is neither swift or appropriate. Once being convicted by a jury of your peers you should have your sentence handed out immediately with the terms available. If it is death then the date should be set with in a reasonable amount of time that a normal person can get their affairs in order (transfer of property, wills etc.) Do life insurance policy's pay when a person is sentenced to death?

Policies normally pay for suicide after two years of coverage. I imagine they will pay for execution as long as the policy remains paid. I don't know for sure, but I can't recall a clause excluding payment in that situation.
