Full on, honest-to-goodness, metal (?), Junior Dick Tracy, official-looking shield of a badge.  There are different styles but many of them don't even really proclaim HCP all that boldly.  More like 'Handgun Carry Permit' or some variation thereof in semi-small letters positioned around the 'seal' that is on the shield.

Keep those fake badges as a novelty at home kind of like the dummy grenades.  I wouldn't put that on and carry it in public.  I saw an older guy in Bartlett open carrying with one of those fake badges. 

 

I'm almost positive Guns and Ammo sells those or at one time sold those.

That's the video I was looking for, that guy scares me with his gun handling. Hopefully when he does have an AD it's just the camera that gets hit and not his family or some person on the street.

Havent been to G&A but I know Bass Pro in Memphis sells them. They even come with a little bi-fold badge wallet. The day I noticed them a guy walked up, stared at it and then bought one. To each their own but *facepalm* Edited April 28, 2013 by RedLights&Sirens
