New baby = Annoyed Pets

Recommended Posts

So for all us parents out there with a new baby in the house, don't forget to give your pets some extra lovin every now and then because it affects them too. This was my dog this morning at 5am after a night of up and downs with the new little one. (Us getting up and down, not him. Hey that'd be a nice trick!) Anyway, gonna have to throw some extra kibble his way poor little fella. :)

My daughter and our cat have been nonviolently cohabiting the same domicile for nearly seven years without major injury or fatality.

Sometimes you just have to accept the little things as miracles.

Moeko WAS NOT thrilled when the new bundle came home. She still isn't. They two of them will acknowledge that cohabitation must occur, but they have yet to get past the evil glare phase.

The funniest part is bed time. They have to be in the same room together, or neither of them can sleep. I honestly think it is the fear that one or the other could possibly get treats or attention unfairly as opposed to any form of affection.
