Aftermarket Coating/TriNyte Match

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I don't really have any experience with firearms coatings, so I was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction here.  I have a Remington 700 XCR in 375 Ultra Mag, and I'd like to have a muzzle brake installed.  The XCR has Remington's original silver TriNyte coating, and I was wondering if there's an aftermarket color available that is an exact match to that finish.

Thanks for any info.

Other ideas are also welcomed.  I'd rather not cover the TriNyte finish, so if there's not an exact match to be found there's always black.

Do you happen to know of any gunsmiths in your area? They may be able to refinish the gun in a similar color.

I don't know any in this area.  Never really had a need for one.

Call ccr in Greenville. Brad and Mary do great work.

Thanks, I just found their website.  If nothing else, I have a Remington 7615 that I've been meaning to get refinished.

If you decide to use them (which you cant go wrong i promise) make sure you set up an appt -- prepay and then send your gun in when they tell you to. Turnaround time is much better then just sending it in.  usually will have it back in a week or two if you do it that way---

you can look them up they do work for a lot of people across the country and their work is second to none......their communication is a bit slow but its only the two of them.
