No Warrants, innocent Citizens treated like criminals, Para Military style tactics, massive show of force with armored transports. NO, it's not Russia or the Middle East, it's right here in the good ol' U.S. of A.
When did we accept a Police State all in the name of safety? Where did the Country of my birth go? Why do LEO's look like Military now days? Why do we allow this to continue to happen in our so called "Free" Country?
Don't know about ya'll but it scares me and ticks me off quite a bit to see this stuff go on here in America.

I'm afraid that we the people have gone to sleep, and now it's too late to reverse course with these commies and libtards in power. It's gonna get worse.

Remember when a heavily armed LEO looked like this:

and then if the bombers weren't caught and went on to blow something else up, then people would be screaming why didn't the cops go door to door?

To quote Ben Franklin "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
It's all well and good to roll out LEO's, FBI and even Homeland Security to track down and catch the bombers but to conduct Warrantless Searches of people homes and drive them into the streets to be pat down by an LEO is just beyond what I'd call "normal police procedure" IMHO.
I personally think that if the Boston Bombings weren't staged that they were at least exploited by the current government just to see how far they can go with trampling on people's Rights and just how much Martial Law we're willing to have crammed down our throat's.
If Boston is any indication then we'd all be fine with police coming into our houses without Warrants, patting us down for no justifiable reason and infringing on our Right to Privacy and that speaks volumes about how much the American Public have become Sheep and lost their ability to stand up for themselves.
I don't know where my Country went but I want it back. I'm sick of government intrusion into our daily lives, even at the expensive of my safety. I'd rather be less safe and Free then totally safe and a Slave to the State.

I wonder if they took notes of anything illegal that they saw while in those homes? I'm pretty sure they didn't take the time to deal with other stuff at the time.

Elections have consequences.  If the "children" in the socialist utopia of MA and Boston like the high handed, jack-booted thing; i say; let 'em keep on likin it..  I could care less what they do up in the "Sour Lands" and you can bet they dont care what is goin on down here where we delightful rustics reside.   Dont worry about them; let em reap the harvest up there; and work hard down here to keep it from happening in your neighborhood.

As the great Tip Oneil (...a real MA yankee...) used to say:  "...all politics is local...".

As much as I want to agree with this, Mike, you can always say what if. It is the proverbial double-edged sword.

Encouraging people to protect their own property and be more self reliant, getting rid of the victim mentality, killing

all those infringing laws that essentially prohibit the above-mentioned, would go more towards fixing the problem

than letting a group evolve into the Gestapo, those who are no longer required to provide the service they used to.

Of course that would cause another civil war, since the entire northeast wouldn't go along with that. Perhaps a few

other areas, also.

Too bad the Constitution has lost its meaning to so many, and the largest minority, the individual, is meaningless.

totally agree Mark.  .

I also seriously hope that no one who's home was entered got popped for having a joint or other stupid stuff like that.

I do, too, Mike. The Bill of Rights used to mean something. There is no easy way to fix our problems. Too much

Orwellian stuff just oozing out of our government, nowadays, and none of it fixes anything. Fear has replaced

resolve and so many expect a handout, instead of taking care of their own problems. Justice has taken a back

seat to sensationalism and revenge. A bit of preventative maintenance is needed to fix the liberal mentality

that has taken over our country, from both political parties. It needs to be expunged.

I was thinking the same thing about "what if they saw something illegal" during one of their searches. Of course with NO Warrant it'd be thrown out of Court BUT they can still take notes and keep an eye on folks. Also, what about them frisking the folks that came out of the house, what if one of em' had a legally obtained handgun on their person inside the house but no CCW so that once they were out on the street they were in violation of the law, would they get arrested, just have the gun confiscated or would nothing happen?
Way too much of a slippery slope having mass force like that going in and out of people's homes. Like I said, it didn't look like the America that I grew up in.

Unfortunately it did appear (from the videos that have leaked out) homeowners were "forceably removed at gun point" from their homes, individually searched/patted down, then detained in the street while their homes were searched for suspect #2.

It didn't appear that the homeowners even had time to voluntarily consent or refuse the warrantless door-to-door searches, because from what I saw on the video as soon as they answered the knock at their door they were forceably yanked out into the street at gunpoint.

I watched the video, were all the houses on the block searched?  Or just this one?  I did observe that the occupants (several of them) were close in age.  College roommates?  I will guess this was a solo house that was knocked on and searched and that by this time, the police had a lead on the names of the bombers and were 'visiting' locations were the brothers hanged out?

Did year on the radio last week that some areas of Boston, stores were asked to remain closed, no public transportation and local gov't asked everyone to stay home.  Me, yes, I would stay home.  Lock the vehicles, lock doors, etc.  But unlike  college students?? in the video, I would answer the door with a Glock 17 holstered on my hip, a Saiga .308 slinged, oldest daughter with an AK-47, wife with an AR-15 and youngest daughter with a Ruger 10/22.
