Great gun!  I have one and use it with an EVO-9.  Doesn't cycle reliably, but it's neat to shoot.  Try one of these if you find the slide release hard to use:

The shield is a great gun, just did not feel good in my hand(none of the m&ps do). I love my g26, you should try some gap enterprises floor plates for your mags.

Don't really need that, just pull back on the slide with your other hand to release it. I never use a slide lock on my pistols(pressing the button to release the slide).
