I did not see this covered in a quick search that I did.

Based on recent events I want to put together a small EDC Trauma Kit. My goal is for it to fit in the back pocket of a pair of jeans.

My current thoughts are below:

One Israeli Bandage

Two Z-Pak Dressings

One Swat-T Tourniquet

Gloves, shears and duct tape, all of this in a ziplock bag.

This should be small enough to carry each day and yet could treat one or possibly two injuries until EMS arrives.

I have an IFAK that I keep in my car for more extensive injuries on my get home bag.

What are your thoughts? Anything that I should consider adding?

My EDC trauma kit consists of a cravat, maxipad, and duct tape on a cut down bic ink pen tube in a ziploc, locking caribiner with my keys and a small 1&1/2" paracord loop. Duct tape and ziploc can be used as a chest seal or other occlusive dressing. Maxipad is directly applied to wound and wrapped with cravat. Add the para cord loop to the cravat for a windless stop before tying the knot. Carabiner(minus the keys) is used as the windless. The cravat can be used as a dressing, bandage, pressure bandage, sling, tourniquet or wound packing, etc. A pack of sterile gloves could be easily added and takes up minimal space. I'd skip the shears and add a multipurpose rescue knife instead or a res q me tool.

I carry a blowout kit in my truck all the time, and 95% of the time I'm close to my truck. I'll just have to play the odds, as I can't stand to carry a bunch of stuff in my pockets, or hanging from my belt.

My blowout kit contains:

2 torniquets

2 izzy bandges

1 pack hemcon/quikclot

1 NPA (nasal airway tube)

2 j-hooks (oral airway tubes)

2 chest seals

1 decompression needle

Vet wrap

Ace bandage

Gauze

Its a pretty good kit for major emergency, but is definitely geared towards gunshots and major trauma.

I have a good first aid kit/trauma kit in every vehicle.  On me all the time is pocket first aid kit.  It's a small mint tin with sting kill, triple antibiotic, alcohol wipe pads, band aids, and hand sanitzer.
