[quote name="Kenstaroni" post="955236" timestamp="1366391013"]Don't like to see it but really does Facebook run our lives?....lol Seems like it these days, at least to some people.

Facebook, in general, isn't much different than TGO. Some companies have found Facebook to be a helpful advertising tool. Edited by TripleDigitRide

We use FB to let our customers know about new and hard to get items that we get in.

If they decide to change their policies in regard to gun stores and firearms related pages, they are going to piss off a lot of people.

Those are helpful too.

Facebook's like a Beatles song,

Woke up, fell outta bed, dragged a comb across my head...

I still don't care what the people I went to high school with are doing.

...or what they're thinking, or what they had for dinner, or what they bought a Wal Mart, etc.

So, are they going to shut down Colt's page ?  They give away a gun periodically.  It's why I "liked" the page.

Honestly I think Facebook is among the most massive wastes of time a person can engage in. Never cared about it, and I care much less about the decisions of the Facebook management.

What are the first 1,424,362 reasons?

See Raoul's post regarding high school friends and extend that to junior high friends and everyone they know.

I get on FB everyday because most of my relatives are in Germany..instead of having to email pictures, updates and news ..I post them there and get to see my family..they all( me including) hate to write letters..FB is good  for keeping in contact ..

Not everyone has to like it or use it.

They should remail neutral in all this ..taking sides and doing so because its an emotional issue will eventually do them in..

I have never joined in the social media stuff and think in the long run I'm better for for it. Some folks seem to not be able to live without it. I'm an info junkie but not when it comes to my info or learning about others.

I enjoy Facebook and use it nearly daily, it has really simplified keeping up with friends and family.  Hope this is not a permanent policy change, I've really been surprised that something like this hasn't happened already.  Of course you can't have a discussion here or anywhere else about Facebook without a few people chiming in about how they don't like Facebook, if you don't like it don't use it, no one is holding a gun to your head telling you to use it, so why spout off like you are in some way superior to the people who get satisfaction out of using it?

My wife sits on facebook LITERALLY 8 hours per day.  It can't be healthy.

Me on the other hand - I check probably twice a day ... Then I check the gun related pages then log out.

I find it useful for stock updates from shops like D&T, Whittakers, etc.... that you otherwise wouldn't get :)  It won't be the end of the world if they pull those pages down, but it will certainly hurt the mom & pop gun shops that count on FB for a majority of their advertising.
