Adolphus Busch IV Quits the NRA

My favorite part of the aritcle:

Mr. Busch should know better and not blame inanimate objects on the actions of people. He is certainly smart enough to know that a can of Budweiser doesn't drive a car impaired and cause havoc out on the road.

The KDSK artical noted his support of AWB, UBC, and mag limits.  Hardly mainstream NRA, despite his blue blood whining..

I thought most forms of Adolph were out of style as a name since about 1940.

Sounds like another "you can have a hunting rifle"  "pro-gun" type guy.

Wait, can you hear that? It is the sound of nobody giving a crap. So a rich Fudd got mad and quit the NRA, meh.

That's about the size of it.

Very fitting for someone whose company has, for 160 years, been peddling a substandard product that resembles diabetic horse pi$$.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Mr. Busch.

+1

Reminds me of the story some years ago when Billy Carter (the Peanut Farmer's brother) put out his own label, "Billy Beer".  Someone on Capitol Hill asked Bob Dole if he had tried it. The good Senator replied that he had and found it interesting. Then he had the beer sent to a lab for analysis and the report had just come back. It said: "Your horse had diabetes."

To be completely honest I am severely disappointed.

I am disappointed that the NRA would allow someone who sells, as tartanphantom so eloquently put it, "diabetic horse pi$$" masquerading as beer into such a fine organization. I'd slam my ding dong in a car door before I would be caught drinking that sorry excuse for beer.

No offense to you Bud lovers out there.

It's all about "taste". Some folks like water, and some folks like beer.

I prefer a beer that will assault my tastebuds rather than one that has no taste. I also prefer the porter & stout family over the lager family, but there are some good lager out there if you look for them.

For a real adventure though, give Arrogant Ba$tard ale or Double Ba$tard ale a try sometime-- I consider them the last word in IPAs. A single bottle of that stuff contains more hops than the entire state of Washington!

Don't let the name fool you. I am an ale guy through and through. IPAs are among my favorite beers, though I dig me some Guinness Foreign Extra as well. Haven't tried the Double Bastard yet but I'm sure I will get around to it. Right now I'm kind of on a wee heavy kick. Sam Adams has a good one and Star Hill has a really good one. Mmmmmm, beeeeer.
