Oh, geez. Another big shooting and the libs in DC will be giddy with excitement. I hope everyone is ok and the downed officer is not seriously injured. I sure hope it's not a big event.

Fox reported the officer was shot with his own gun.

Not much the anti's can do with that if true.

Well if the officer didn't have a gun, he couldn't have been shot with it...

Well, the situation up there has gone ape.

Some kind of officer killed on or near MIT campus as per this thread.

Now 4 miles a way (maybe due to chase from MIT, maybe not) big gunfight and bombs exploded. One suspect in custody one on the loose, police going door to door in neighborhood. Definitely footage of guy spread-eagled on street.

Reports are going wild of course, reported that FBI said he's one of the bombers, now another has said he's not, etc. One witness even says he saw one of the guys with a pressure cooker, probably just some neighborhood nut, who knows.

And simultaneous to all this, FBI releases more close up pictures, best yet, of the two suspected perps.

Update: now saying that FBI says guy on right is definitely one captured, guy on left is one on the loose. Take with grain of salt at this point, seems.

Who knows, I'm going to sleep,  y'all carry on as you wake up to reports before me. :)

Suspect names overheard on scanner. Mike Mulugeta and Sunil Tripathi. Reddit actually had named Tripathi earlier in the day as a Brown University student that had gone missing, looks like he has been found. Well almost. He is still loose as of right now.

We all know most hardcore right-wing Tea-partiers come from Chechnya.     Wasn't O or someone in his administration sayin' this might be about tax day...what a joke they are.
