RE:"My black lab can destroy a kong in minutes - black or otherwise."

I have a big German Shepherd that can tear almost  anything up in minutes as well. She has been unable to make a mark in a large black Kong Extreme after a year.

In fact, I have run over the stupid thing with my 62" mower deck several times and have yet to cut it. The most recent was last Saturday. The blades were just sharpened and it flew 75 yards or so. Had a small knick in it, otherwise, no damage. How any dog could tear one up in minutes is beyond me…

Maybe the two we had were duds.  I was surprised, but not really disappointed.  If they had been a solid I think we would have been better.  The hole in the middle seemed to be the weak point.

She's as gentle as can be, and has never been a chewer to speak of.  Toys, however are no match for her.

The big nylabones do last a while.  Lord help you if you step on one in the dark with bare feet, though.

As long as your dog has had all his vaccinations, toss him a couple left wing hippies to chew on.

LoL, she would gladly take them too :)

Got a vet visit next Saturday (27th) can't wait to see their latest weights. This time last year Apple was only 54 lbs and Jake was 82 lbs.

Sorry I am flooding my own post here but I keep hitting submit too early. Last one for few I promise :P

Fine looking dogs you have there

Maybe a foot long piece of 4" steel I-beam?

I tried this with my Pekingese but got tired of sweeping up metal shavings

I had a 150# rottie and the longest lasting toy he had was one of the rubber balls with the handle on it made for horses, it lasted a few months and after he destroyed that he went back to playing with the 15" car tire, ran all over the yard with that tire on his head, almost looked like he was smiling while he was doing it to.
