This revolutionary class focuses on integrating the pistol into the fight at zero to five feet. This is what some trainers call "The Hole" and their entire perspective is to "Get Out Of The Hole". We don't worry about "getting out of the hole" because the reality of it is that you won't. Instead, we get comfortable in there...we set up a nice cozy camp there and learn to thrive where other men fear to walk. We make the other guy want to get out of the hole he finds himself in as we start to rip his head right off his shoulders. This will be a very thorough study on how to prevail and not get killed at this distance interval. We will do a great deal of technical work to ingrain the correct skills and then work them extensively via force on force exercises. You have never seen training and information like this before. 

While I do want to make sure guys are in reasonable condition to handle this, you don't need to be a hard core athlete to do this. We will play hard. . . . but within reason for the attendees we normally have in class.

SOME TOPICS:

• Dealing against the drawn gun. What are all the options? We will look at everything from running away, to drawing and killing him, stabbing him with a knife, to disarming him and shooting him with his own gun.
• Dealing against the drawn knife. Both from "hold up" type situations to actual attacks. You will deal with them with the gun in hand (this one is really cool), and with empty hands, leading into a draw and shots as part of the fight.
• Dealing with a fight in hallways, elevators, phone booths and cars. All empty handed, and with one leading to the other.
• Dealing with more than one bad guy. How to position and maneuver to deny them the advantage, as well as how to immediately escalate and take them out. The combined use of various tools such as knife and gun, knife and light, light and gun, gun and stick. Not only the how, but the why as well.

These and other topics will make this one of the hottest classes available to civilian operators. This course requires prior attendance at an intermediate level Suarez International Pistol class.

 

 

 

DURATION: 2 days

 

TIME: 9:00AM to 5:00PM(CST)

 

PREREQUISITES: Students must be in reasonable physical condition and have attended a Suarez International Intermediate pistol class

 

AMMUNITION: Approximately 250 rounds (Minimum) for your carry pistol and 400 (Minimum) good quality biodegradable pellets for airsoft pistol. NO STEEL PELLETS

 

YOU NEED TO BRING:

Spare clothing appropriate to the weather, lunch/snacks and water (minimum of 1 gallon per person) for the entire day, baseball or other style hat, sun screen, bug repellent, allergy medication (if needed), chair (if you have a problem with sitting on the ground, note taking paper/pen/pencil and a boo boo kit (band aids, gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment and tape)

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Pistol, holster, at least two magazines, and the usual range safety gear (ear and eye protection). Bring an airsoft pistol with the necessary gear (pellets, facemask, etc. - all of it is available at http://www.onesourcetactical.com)

Sounds good, unfortunately I don't have a car any more, and can't carry on a Greyhound. I've been looking at Suarez classes for years, they seem pretty good.

Just a little reminder that this class is getting closer. 

 

This class is the one where we deal with touching distance problems. Being aware and picking up on problems at 7 yards and getting a weapon in hand early is great but there is a completely different skillset involved when the bad guys are at arms length instead of a car length.

 

What do you do if they grab you? What do you do if they knock you to the ground? If you are mounted? How do you draw your gun if they are actively trying to prevent that? How do you work a disarm if they already have their gun out? These and a WHOLE LOT of other things will all be worked through in this class. And because it is an interactive class using airsoft guns, blue guns, training knives , etc you get to see what REALLY works against live resisting opponents....not just what works against a paper target! 

 

This is the class for those who know that just because you have a gun does not mean you do not have to know how to fight. If your ONLY tool is to draw and shoot then your options are pretty limited. If you know how to create space when you need to or eliminate space when you need to and how to access your weapon while under attack and how to gain better position and get out of grounded problems and how to go about disarming an opponent then you will be far better off than if the sum total of your skills are to simply draw and shoot.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS CLASS HAS BEEN OFFERED IN THE CHATTANOOGA AREA. THIS CLASS IS NOT OFFERED MORE THAN ONCE A YEAR IN ANY PARTICULAR REGION. SO IF YOU ARE AT ALL INTERESTED IN GETTING THIS CLASS DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!

THIS CLASS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER SHOOTING CLASS. THIS IS THE CLASS WHERE WE DEAL WITH THE REALITIES OF THE FIGHT, ACTION VS REACTION, AND ACCESSING YOUR WEAPON ALL AT CONVERSATION DISTANCE WHILE UNDER ATTACK AND WE DO IT AGAINST LIVE RESISTING OPPONENTS , NOT JUST AGAINST MOTIONLESS CARDBOARD. wE DO THIS BOTH STANDING, AND ON THE GROUND.

THE AMMO COUNT FOR THIS CLASS IS COMPARATIVELY SMALL TO OTHER CLASSES SO BEING ABLE TO FIND ENOUGH AMMO SHOULD NOT BE A BIG PROBLEM. IN FACT PART OF THE VALUE OF THIS CLASS IS NOT ONLY THE LOWER AMMO COUNT, BUT THE FACT THAT 75 % OF THE CLASS IS SPENT WORKING AGAINST LIVE OPPONENTS...JUST LIKE REAL FIGHTS. CARDBOARD NEVER KILLED ANYONE. LIVE OPPONENTS ARE WHAT WE FACE IN REAL FIGHTS , SO LEARNING (AND TESTING) HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM IS FAR MORE CONSTRUCTIVE THAN JUST SHOOTING PAPER TARGETS.

WHAT IF THEY ARE TOO CLOSE TO OUTDRAW THEM? WE LOOK AT DISARMS AND HOW TO MINIMIZE OUR RISK AND MAXIMIZE THE DAMAGE TO THEM AS WE TAKE THEIR PISTOL FROM THEM. AND AGAIN, ALL OF THIS IS DONE AGAINST A RESISTING OPPONENT NOT AGAINST ONE WHO IS "ATTACKING YOU THE RIGHT WAY".

IF THESE ARE THE SKILLS YOU ARE WANTING TO DEVELOP THEN THIS CLASS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. ANYONE CAN GO SHOOT PAPER AND CARDBOARD ANYWHERE. THERE ARE NOT ALL THAT MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK AGAINST LIVE OPPONENTS WITH AIRSOFT GUNS AND TRAINING KNIVES AND LEARN HOW FAST FIGHTS REALLY HAPPEN AND HOW TO USE ALL OF THE KNOWLEDGE WE GIVE YOU TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. WE THEN TAKE ALL OF THIS AND APPLY IT IN LIVE FIRE AGAINST PAPER TARGETS AND AGAINST REALISTIC REACTIVE TARGETS SO YOU CAN SEE THAT ALL THAT SHOOTING ON THE MOVE, SHOOTING IN CONTACT WITH THE OPPONENT, SHOOTING WHILE ON YOUR BACK, SHOOTING WHILE GETTING UP ALL WORK WITH LIVE GUNS JUST LIKE WITH AIRSOFT (JUST A BIT LOUDER)

IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THEN GET SIGNED UP. AND IF YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL LIMITATION, WE ARE ABLE TO WORK AROUND THAT TOO. IT IS BETTER TO FIND OUT IN A CLASS LIKE THIS EXACTLY WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THAT LIMITATION THAN TO HAVE TO EXPERIMENT WITH IT IN THE MIDDLE OF A REAL FIGHT.  WE HAVE HAD STUDENTS WITH A PHYSICAL LIMITATION OR A PREEXISTING INJURY THAT PRECLUDED THEM FROM DOING SOME THINGS, BUT WE WORKED AROUND IT AS BEST WE COULD. SO DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU. IF THERE IS ANYTHING IN THE CLASS YOU CANNOT DO, YOU CAN STILL LEARN A LOT FROM OBSERVING. WE DO NOT MAKE ANYONE DO ANYTHING THEY ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH.AND WE USUALLY FIND A WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, EVEN WITH THE LIMITATION.

SO IF LIFESAVING MATERIAL FOR THE FIGHT AT LESS THAN 3 YARDS IS WHAT YOU WANT...THIS CLASS IS THE PLACE TO GET IT. hOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This class is not offered very often so don't miss this chance to get it in the Chattanooga area. With all the publicity of the Zimmerman trial and all the discussion of when an unarmed person becomes a lethal threat and how to deal with physical assault when you are carrying a gun this class is more timely than ever. If you have been looking for a place to get some skills for dealing with touching distance problems (Think George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin type stuff) this is the class for you. We cover the full spectrum of dealing with empty hand, knife, impact weapon, gun, grounded problems, multiple assailants (multiples armed with knives, guns, impact weapons, and empty handed), how to stay out of "the hole", how to get out of "the hole" and how to survive and win IN "the hole" if you get caught up in a struggle.

 

This is the stuff that everyone wants to know because just having a gun does not solve all your problems. And we often have to react to a physical assault with empty hands first before we can even get to our gun. And what if the bad guy already has the drop on you? Now what?  Everyone wishes they had these skills but either do not know where to get them, or maybe are hesitant to go learn. I promise you, these skills need to be worked on BEFORE the fight...and mastering them does not just happen by osmosis. So come out and train with us and better prepare yourself to deal with these kind of real world violent attacks.
