Let the ammo sales begin!!!

I stand by my statement because it had no chance of passing, and I along with many others stated it months ago.  I am not any sort of soothsayer, but I do follow national politics fairly closely.  Getting the legislation through the senate would have been difficult, as was proven today.  If half of the Democrat's 20 senate seats weren't up for grabs in 2014, I would have been a little more cautious.  That said, even if it would have made it through the senate, it would have been dead in the house.  I also mentioned that 2014 could be a different story if leadership positions change.

The panic buying that occured in NY was not herd mentality.  Your response to me would be exactly how I would have described that situation.  My brother lives on LI and I told him that he needed to get some stuff now while the state was crafting the legislation.  He told me there was no way Albany would pass anything like that.  I knew better, and now he is all ticked off about it because he can't get squat.

I guess everyone around here forgot the parts(everything gun related, including ammo) shortage that took place

before his first coronation. Just like the economic bubbles, that continue to be stronger and stronger, there will be

another one following this one, and we will probably never see the end of this until all the liberals are rounded up

and sent to Europe, where they belong.

As stated previously: 1 Bills have already come due. 2 People who got caught with their pants down will continue to buy anything on the shelf.

I see a lot of stuff (private sales) trying to recoup losses on purchase made with scare prices. Until these people accept their losses and decide to keep their equipment, I don't expect any online prices to come down much. IE Bought a stock AR for 2500 and trying to get 1500-2k back out of it or spent a buck a round on ammo and asking .75 for it now.

My opinion on when it will "normalize" online won't be until MAYBE this winter. Not to say deals can't be found direct from manufacturers. I don't expect brick and mortar to back to well stocked on ammo until, again maybe, August at the soonest.

As long as there is someone "spotting some" at WalMart, or wherever, there will still be the panic buying

going on. You folks aren't seeing the gun show factor, I guess. I think David mentioned his trip to Tulsa.

I also think he will sell out of what everyone is looking for at Hendersonville this time, and again at Knoxville.

The gun prices will come down some, but they won't stay low, and the ammunition situation will have a larger

market to keep replenished from now on.

I don't see this ending. I know I can't find any 6.8 brass and haven't found but one place to put me on a list

to wait for it.

With the gun bills dead in Washington (for the time being), there's still the lingering rumor/urban legend/myth/fact/whatever that the Fed is going to come back with a bill to raise the federal tax on ammo sky high OR deem ammunition an explosive resulting in purchase regulation.

That being said, true or false, it's still floating around out there and the ones who are drinking that kool-aid are going to be the ones buying it up among the rest of us.
This is not to mention all the new gun owners who entered the market between December 14th and now.
They're now buying up ammo, too.

But being a good brother you could purchase for him as Christmas presents.   Someone is going to have to drive though..

Unfortunately I have a feeling the ammunition situation is going to get even worse.

This of course is speculation on my part but I do not see this administration walking away from "gun control" without a victory, even if it means an EO restricting the importation of either firearms, ammunition or both.

That is something Obama believes is within his powers, the only thing that I believe makes him hesitant to issue it is the potential political blow-back from doing so.

However with this latest defeat, he just might be willing to risk it.

I was in walmart this morning for something and I walked by the ammo caes. I stood there and counted 130 empty spots. Only thing they had was some shotgun ammo. We are no where near having this ammo problem restored.

They only way to get 9mm ammo for my gun is to get lucky online.

I've noticed that several guns I have on my "watchlist" at BudsGuns are substantially higher when they come back into stock :(
