Ok, I assume we know about Prince's Hot Chicken... well, there's a meat and three in the Cool Springs area called Bishop's that has the exact chicken! Maybe even a little tastier...

Love me some hot chicken. Having said that bishops is good but its all about Boltons down in east Nashville. They are good people doing it right.

When I get lame fried chicken from a restaurant, I ask them for fresh whipped butter and tabasco. Viola, hawt yardbird!

Brother David, come on down to the good side of town and let me buy you some spicy chicken. We can see if it is good and then come here and tell everyone. Plus we just booked our Alaska trip and we would love some more pointers.

How dare you say there is another place to rival Prince's.  We used to eat there all the time when I was in boarding school. Loved making that hour commute to go eat.

Me and the wife ate at Boltons about a month ago. We love spicy food, got the hot. Holy moly, burnt our homebread butts up. We thought yea,we'll take the hot. Big mistake. It was super tasty though. I want to go back for the mild, she says no way. :(

I've still not tried Prince's, but there is a pretty good place in Hendersonville. Moore's Famous Chicken. Good stuff.

Where are they located? I live in Hendersonville but haven't seen them.

Moore's is in that tiny strip mall down Walton Ferry, kinda across the street from Flanary's Hair salon. I have NOT eaten there, yet.

Bishop's Meat and Three in Cool Springs is their original location as I understand, but as of a few months ago the same people opened up another joint on 18th & West End Ave. called Hattie B's that's actually "just" a hot chicken restaurant. Bishop's serves all kinds of country cooking, but if you're looking for those guys' real college try when it comes to hot chicken, come to Hattie B's. Great stuff, my wife and I eat there regularly.

Boltons is great. Hot Stuff in Antioch is also pretty damn good. I will have to try Bishop's.
Hattie B's is really good but their parking sucks. Edited by KahrMan

Hot chicken is awesome!  Anybody remember Mr. Boo's (Bouglea's) on Donelson Pike near the airport?  Hate that is closed.

Edit - This post is in response to Steelharp.

We moved and don't get that way too often, so we haven't been there in the last 6 months or so. A friend of mine who was a regular there recently told me the quality has gone down. I don't have any first hand knowledge of that. Edited by TripleDigitRide
