Turkey #3

Got out this morning heard several gobblin but refused to leave their hens. I decided to move to another property and sit out in a small field. They have been crossing this field and using it as a strutting area. Setup started calling, got a hen to come in. We talked for a minute until this guy came running into the field. He took a dirt nap at 36 yards. Not my heaviest bird of the season but had a nice beard and spurs.

 

20lbs 1oz, 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs. NWTF score 60.69

Lol @ KahrMan. I called in a really nice tom for a buddy of mine yesterday. It was over 24lbs, 10 inch beard and over an inch spurs. I stayed back behind him and did some float calling. Edited April 15, 2013 by ShaunM

Congrats. Thats a good bird. I got one about 3 weeks ago but, can't get'em to gobble lately.

They are henned up bad right now. Hopefully I can get my last one this weekend. Got 4 days off coming up.
