Explosions at Boston Marathon finish line

Right or wrong, they gotta be first.

That's why I'm sitting at the back of the room this time, stuff got insane at CT, the only reason it hasn't been as bad yet is because they have basically no leads (that we know of). As soon as they can put a face on the situation, stuff is going to hit full throttle stupid.

Just read a bit, they have video of a guy talking on a phone and leaving a bag on the ground. They are using the time stamp on the video to check all calls made in the area at that time.

Im guessing now they are narrowing down all the calls to men, and will then get a list of names then try and get pictures of all the names and match it to the guy in the video.

But thats hoping his phone is in his name.

This could take a while, they gotta go through every phone carriers records. At&t, verizon, tmobile etc.....

Million bucks, says they are checking into all local stores to see when they last sold pressure cookers and ball bearings then they will check the video tapes in that timeline.

Imo they need to be protecting places like malls etc.. this guy is still out there while everyone else things its over and only the search is left. He could be planning another one.

they could of bought everything online... from a store or someplace like craigslist...

I really hope I am wrong but my experience tells me the (2) bombs and the Ricin are too coincidental. This tells me tht it is probably more than one individual and instead a group. The longer they take to arrest or identify, the larger the group.

Coincidental that there was an explosion at a fertilizer plant this evening too? Probably so, but weird with so much going on. Hard to process all the craziness right now.

Pics and video released.

Guys could be wearing Guy Fawkes masks far as I could make out from the official FBI pix.

They'll likely get 'em, but will probably be from acquaintances knowing something about their movements or other suspect activities.

Wonder why they didnt show the second guy placing the backpack. They supposedly have video of it. I really hope they have more than two guys with backpacks.

I watched the press conference. The FBI guy said they only saw suspect #2 place the pack. I think they nailed the other guy because he was associating with #2.

Exactly. There suspected peoples photos have been released so there is no more withholding info to protect the investigation. If you are going to accuse an individual of a crime of this magnitude and say you have video evidence of one of them actually placing a pack at the site of the explosion then you damn well better release it.

If that was me in those pictures my co workers would have done sold me out. Dont know how these 2 guys havent been seen by people they know. They must have some great friends and family if they make it through the night not arrested or named.

One thing that is missing from thread. All the people bitc*# about the scum bags civil rights being violated with all them damn public cameras.

Well now that you mention it ... when examined independantly (removed from the role all of the video survallience cameras played in the capture of the bombers), it did seem shockingly Orwellian'ish.

Considering the location of the bombs and the event they attacked it was probably one of the most videoed/photographed spots in the US at the time. I bet they didn't think that part through. Not really Orwellian when you consider all the photography was being done by independent businesses and patrons of the event. No different than just having a whole bunch if witnesses.

TMF well stated. If public surveillances puts an end to these type of thugs and murderers then I say bring it on!

Well granted all of those surveillance cameras helped ID the bombers & for that we are all extremely greatful but I'm afraid I just can't share the same sort of enthusiasm for blanket surveillance of everyone, everywhere, all of the time.
