Its not all its green grass and roses. YMMV

not sure if i follow you there... but i'd work there 5 days a week 8 hours a day on that yard planting tulips and begonias alllllllll day for 3 quaters of a million dollars

Not condoning it but $100,000 a year isn't all that far out of line. Depending on the tulip those 1,000 could cost close to $20,000. Also, they are buying up all kinds of supplies and planting boxes. $100,000 goes quick when you are talking large scale stuff like what they describe.

 

I am not disputing the fact that this probably does cost $100,000 a year. I would be disputing whether we really need it right now.

Amen. I don't disagree that the US needs to do some representin' throughout the world ... but I think this sort of thing shows that our priorities are out of line. After all ... the WH chef just got furloughed. What in the world is our fearless leader and family going to eat?!? Tulips over food is never the correct decision.

But in all seriousness. I think the amount they spent on this is out of line for current economic outlooks ... but then since when does this administration care?
