Where to buy my Dillon? I am in Nashville

That horse race I mentioned above, the most I've ever cranked out, being .223, was right at a thousand in one

day. It is a little cumbersome with some components and thank God my powder drop hasn't fooled me. The

alarm thing on the Dillon is okay, but I just stop when my trays empty and start the process up again from the

beginning.

I'm kinda glad I won't sell the stuff I loaded because the amount of work involved and the profit would be close

to nothing, but with Gordon's load data, that stuff is primo. If I have the components together and the wife isn't

"Honey Doin'", that's how I actually can relax, put on some music or an audio book, and crank them out. It was

one of the reasons I was going to apply for an FFL, though. Just not worth it.

I think a topped out Dillon 650 is as good as you're gonna get for volume. It's also expensive. So far, I don't need that kind of volume. Maybe one of these days. I stay way ahead on ammo with just my auto indexing turret. Still loading a couple of things single stage.

Still loading a couple of things single stage.

I agree with keeping the single stage also.  My Rock Chucker was the first press and still gets plenty of action.  Universal decapper, pocket swedger, some case conversions.  When I need a few rounds of something new test.  Getting the bottle necks decapped and sized.

Most of the rifle fodder is still on the single stage.

I didn't even consider getting a progressive till I got a Glock.  Then it became a necessity.

I like to clean bottle neck cases after sizing & decapping.  Most of the Rifle fodder loaded on the Dillon is already sized & cleaned so the first station is priming only.  Service rifle is sometimes an exception if I'm short on time and long on need.

To add to what others have said; ya need a single stage for load development (...small batches...).  Progressives (...we have a dillon 650...) are used to crank out pistol loads once youve found a load ya like.   Ya can change toolheads easily to change calibers.  "Good" rifle loads are loaded on our single stage (...RCBS Rockchucker...).

Hope this helps.
