I recently purchased a Blackhawk single point sling for my Ruger SR556. It is a very heavy rifle even unloaded. I think it is too heavy personally so Im in the market for a 2 point sling. I don't know which 1 to get. I haven't held many rifles with tactical slings on them so Im asking for your input. Also which forward mount do you recommend? Thanks in advance

I don't know but I'm so jealous of your new Ruger it makes me sick! :) Congratulations!!

If that didnt make you sick the fact that i got it under cost because a man got it as a gift and didnt like it will lol. Great rifle though. Shot a lot with it and never had a problem. Id recommend it to anyone in the market!

I have looked at the Magpuls and it was recommended by a friend. I like them a lot. Have yall seen the savvy sniper slings? They go both ways lol. Single or 2 point however you clip them!

I've got a Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications 2 point that I really like. Easy adjust when you want it to, and DOESN'T adjust when you DON'T want it to. Have it attached to a Magpul MOE handguard with a magpul MOE sling mount and a mash hook. Rear attachment is via quick disconnect to a built in QD hole in the stock. If I were running a railed handguard, I'd probably opt for a QD mount and QD sling swivel. Probably going to change out front attachment to a Mount-N-Slot QD at some point. Edited by Citizen_B

The Vickers is a great sling. I also like the Magpul sling. A little different but my favorite is the Wilderness Tactical Giles sling. Best I've ever used and I've used it on several different guns. Edited by Smith

I've been using Magpul's slings for years, they are hard to beat for quality, comfort, ease of use, adaptability/adjustability/useability & durability, at least at their price point.
