That is nice. What are the sights?

The 1st annie is a 1411 (54 action) with a 7020 rear sight with an adjustable aperture and a front 22 mm globe with a 1X adjust donut.

The 2nd annie is a 1903 (64 action) with it's original 6834 sight set which includes the front globe sight with inserts. 

I also use a slip on T-36 to tune the rifle to ammo. I prefer the iron sights. 

The difference between the 54 & 64 action, in modern annie's is the lock speed is faster on the newer 54's which leads one to believe 

there is less time from trigger squeeze to ignition to move the barrel off target. Can we say micro seconds?

Thanks. It's not really me its the rifles. With the adjustable apertures you can dial down the front sight to match the target and then crank the

rear aperture open and closed until the target itself comes in crystal clear. Then it's like shooting with the scope. Changing the rear aperture

size determines how much light is let in.  The 1X power adjustable donut also keeps the front sight crystal clear.

 

What's amazing isit really works for tired old eyes.

Honestly, it's not me. There is some sort of physics involved here for your eye where if you can make

the front sight small enough and get enough light into rear aperture it makes the target and donut

pop out at you. Your eye just lines up the donuts, You take up the 1st stage and squeeze the last

4 oz and it's there. I had a 513T that had the target aperture sights and globe front that came with it.

I'm here to tell you the sights and target were as blurry as looking down an M1 Garand at 600 yds.

 

All I can say is the state of the art today means I can still shoot iron sights. All it takes is the compulsary

cash offered up to the manufacturing god's.

I've got similar sights, but not as good, on my savage 900tr. I love the sights, just lack the steady nerves, dang old age.
