NY state has started to take firearms.

Even if you say no, if the doctor thinks you're lying, what's stopping him from checking "Replied Yes" and you would never know what he checked off? Nothing. I'm saying no regardless but just saying.

Most folks asking questions like this are supposed to only mark what you answer; even if they question it to be true or not.

There is still a possibility that the person would mark down an assumption, but I doubt they would want to put their job on the line to do it.

I hope so. I lose a little more faith in people I don't know every day. But as far as doctors, a lot of them are sick of this administration, it's the underlings that write this stuff down though, so let's hope they appreciate their job and are respectful.

So whats it gonna take? Alof of people have adopted Molon Labe as their war cry. Wonder if any in New York will follow through, and how many here will condem their actions. This is what we have been afraid and vowed to fight folks. Gun confiscation for any reason is an act of tyrannry. If the line isn't drawn here, we can kiss our gun rights, all of them, goodbye in under ten years.

They are correct as far as I'm concerned. NOONE is going to take my guns.... I will leave it at that.

I'm with ya there. Am I the only one that pictures in my head a group of individuals in New York just praying that someone resists the officers when they show up to "steal" the guns from the owner? Like they want to show that we are the bad guys. Hell there are plenty of bad people that have guns, and these azzhats know it, but they won't walk in there and take theirs, because it might be profiling and they'll get sued, or killed, or both. They only stand up to people they know normally are law abiding, because he have a lot to lose. The people with the "I'll go to jail, I don't give a f&^%!" attitude, they get left alone. Scary times we are in my friends.

Very scary times. I fear it will only end with violence. I pray that our votes will turn the tide, but if they begin large scale confiscation alot of people are going to get hurt and killed. From both sides. And I do believe there are indivduals who hope to see us fight back, and hope to see "good guys" get killed. Because the first cop that gets shot will be turned in to a martyr and the whole thing will be used by the liberal media as a perfect example of why we need to repeal the second amendment and confiscate guns. If a gun confiscation goes in to affect nationwide, the only way it will end is with another civil war. The fact that someone hasn't been shot in New York amazes me. Someday soon they will find one who takes "Molon Labe" as much more than a saber rattling slogan and this will come to a head

I agree. It would be ugly indeed. And all of us "gun nuts" DON'T want that but the ones who want a "safer environment" push for it. I just don't get what kind of fantasy land libs think the U.S. will turn into if the government took everyone's guns and had complete control over everyone's lives. They say they want 60% of your paycheck, what are you gonna do? They say they are coming for your wives and your children, what are you gonna do? Sounds like something that happened not to long ago, but nobody believes it can happen again.

Careful what you say on the internets. They would love to find a patriot who would resist to make an example out of. :fear:

The only way to win in this day and age of massive technology (surveillance, weapons, etc.) is through nonviolence, from the bottom up, education, media and politics, etc. I'm not saying you can't defend your life if threatened. I'm just saying a civil war will actually help their cause.

We're just behind. They've been working hard for many years while we have been asleep. Now we're going to have to put in the same work as they did to reverse and restore this country back. You're going to have to love it to do it. You can't personalize anything. You'll have to be able to take ridicule, being called names, treated as 2nd class and even being hated. But once we start with the youth by taking the education system back (removing collectivism, Marxism, socialism, communism, etc.), we'll be graduating a new generation of conservative constitutionalists every year after the 12th year of work back in to education, media, law enforcement, government and politics. These young adults will take back the country for us.

That's how the left did this and that's what it will take to win it back.

They won't have to look far. They keep over reaching their bounds and taking away peoples right they are very likely to find thousands of them... And yes, the best way to undo their damage is the same way they did it, by a slow indoctrination process. We have been marching towards socalisam and a totalrian goverment for years and years. The common middle cass worker is getting tired of all the taxes being taken out for the ones who do nothing, and the pressure is slowly building. If it reaches to high a point, well history will be written by the victors. And while I don't advise anyone to say anything on the internet they don't want read by every alphabet agency in town, I am a Patriot, a veteran and an American Citizen and I refuse to fear my goverment or be cowed into submission. They won't take my guns, and I mean that with every ounce of willpower in my body.

The 2014 elections of kicking these commies out of office including the colluding Rhino R's, and replacing them with Tea Party candidates is very important to keeping our freedoms, or it will be a piece of cake for the commies to confiscate our guns, and relegate us all to slavery in their Utopia.

Each day, I'm more convinced that people are really becoming apathetic to what these commies do to their freedoms. Common sense among these politicians is non-existent, and they all think they know better than their constituents by voting against their wishes. And yet the people keep re-electing them.

Nothing in our country is making any sense as for as policy making decicisions by these idiot politicians. No one except Mark Levine will call these people for what they are, and that is communist thugs hell bent on destroying our country.

It's seems the people of this country have become dead brain Zombies. Years of fluoridation in our water must have finally produced the desired results of apathy or people afflicted with zombism for these commie gun grabbers.

One thing is for sure, if we don't take our country back by kicking these commies out in 2014, then a lot of gun buyers who have spent thousands of dollars buying guns and ammo will all be for naught, b/c the black helicopters will be hovering over your house real soon. It looks like gun confiscation will be a piece of cake for these commies by just looking at what a few states have already done, and yet their is still unfinished business for these commies. These commies are relentless on destroying our beloved country. God help us.

6.8 I agree with you on many levels.  Reading your post made me think about, and realize something.  At least in certain states, there seems to be a disappearing line of "state" and "federal."  It's almost as if these states (NY, CO, CA, etc.) are just "mini-feds" and have aligned policies to execute the will of the ever growing federal .gov.  Can't get it through the federal congress, ok, we'll just pass the same laws (if not stricter) through the state congresses; almost as if, in their mind, the state power comes from federal power.  That's a scary thought.  More states need to create backlash against this type of situation with all the might they have (although, likely very little in NY and CA).  I'd also like to see more verbal responses against the encroachment on our rights from military and LE leaders.

As Glenn mentioned above .. there doesn't seem to be a good option if the Police knock on your door and want your guns.  Do you shoot the people there to take them?  We all know how the media will portray that (also, IMO, the .gov/media complex is one of THE biggest problems facing us now).  I'm not sure what I'd do ...

That's exactly what Obama's state by state campaign is about: getting laws passed and gaining popularity for the

federal government to pass gun confiscation. Every American should be fighting in this issue. The federal government

has no right whatsoever to pass a law bashing an amendment to the Constitution. It's in direct violation of their

enumerated rights, even in the presence of past violations, like the 1934,1968 and 1986 infringements.

If it is left up to the police to confiscate firearms, enough cops will become Gestapo like and will do what they are told,

especially if we allow it to happen. That will leave one's choices very limited. The cop knows this is wrong, but only time

will tell where they land on that.

On an unlawful act by the police, all I'll say on that is that it's unlawful and you would be directed by your understanding

of the Constitution and deal with it appropriately. To me it only leaves one last option. They wouldn't be cops at that

point.

This is going to sound a bit odd, maybe. But here goes. The population rate in the U.S. among those of us that are productive members of society has drastically fallen since WWII. The population rate of those that are NOT productive members of society, or those that do not espouse our ideals has increased somewhat in that same time. Our overall fertility rate is lower than the standard sustaining replacement rate. What this kind of tells me is that since we are experiencing an overall population growth, that growth comes from segments of our overall society that are not strongly linked to our constitutional viewpoint. Immigration rates far surpass those of reproduction, and the major reproductive contributors within our nation seem to be the ones being subsidized by the government. Those of us work for a living seem to have 'learned' to reproduce fewer offspring because of the lower 'need' for offspring and the higher 'cost' of offspring. All of this has shifted as we have become less agrarian and more urban/industrial. It's only going to get worse as we further shift from a production economy to a service economy. Since WWII the 'New Deal' and subsequent 'social leveling' initiatives have really served to create a 'class' within society that insures perpetuity of socialistic ideals. It is simply a game of numbers and attrition that is fueled by larger government (greed, hubris), and a larger segment of society that are basically subsidized sheep. It seems to me that we are on the natural course to our nadir that great societies of the past have experienced. We may be able to delay the inevitable, but we may already be past the point of no return.  I think we may be seeing the beginning of the end where we really are overtaken from within.  I don't see how we have the leverage or the position to reverse and restore.  We don't have the numbers advantage anymore, nor the access to the power and resources required for peaceful change.

Let's take this back to the founding of this country and assume nonviolence was the only tool the rebels had against the King just used this tactic. It wouldn't have happened because the King sent his army and would have killed the resistance without a fight. You reach a point that nonviolence doesn't work. If you don't meet tyranny with equal resistance, you end up with totalitarianism. We have allowed the liberals to win arguments using emotion while trying to inject reason and logic. A nonthinking electorate being bribed along with this game caused the issue to proliferate and, when enough people finally quit thinking, because they are taught not to in the schools, they end up as automatons and slaves.

People back then were closer to the things that kept them alive. We aren't. They understood and appreciated what value there is of life. We don't. Our role is to teach those who don't know and value life to understand it. That may end up being a very extreme lesson they have to learn, just like our founders had to fight for.

Our country has effectively given up on things like the Ten Commandments and a disregard for religion and in it's place has adopted a secular progressive view of society and have forgotten the rule of law because of it. It is the basis for the rule of law, unless you only wish to live with ongoing precedents, which makes the

Constitution nothing more than a living, breathing document. There's your problem.

What the government is effectively doing is murdering the American society. when you defend solid principles, like those in the Bible, and the Constitution, it isn't murder. It is completely justified. Of course, some may have to think about that a while to make the connection, and argue against it until they can't, anymore, but that's where your guidance should be taken from.

What's that quote? "Give me liberty, or give me death." Maybe more should read all of the text before that ending.

If our country won't fight for what we believe in, it's too late, and we will keep on being punished until we

don't exist, anymore.

Spots I'm pretty sure that you, me, and pretty much every other veteran are already on every "list" there is, so probably not much to worry about.

This is another reason I really don't care to speak my mind. I'm everything a progressive liberal hates, and probably on watch list everywhere by now. I'm a white, baptist, conservative gun owner, with time in the Marines, capable of total self sustainment without goverment interferenece, who refuse to be shushed and calmed with some food stamps and other peoples money.

Why does anyone care about some list? These people need to know they will end up losing when they try to

pass the final act of tyranny and the people who will stand up for the Constitution will either prevail or die

defending it. Our country is worth fighting for, and the ones who are trying to shred the Constitution, like

using it for toilet paper, need to know they won't survive the fight. what does anyone think all these guns are

being bought for? Duck hunting? Or so they can get it on the collectible NFA registry? Yeh, right.

Yep, some will be made examples for propaganda and fear, but until they know they won't succeed with their

tyranny, we will have failed. They have their lists, we have our guns. Screw 'em. You and I know what a right is,

and it isn't given by a government, except to those who bow down to their government, like England, etc.

I refuse to be intimidated by some damned list. Maybe we should start making some lists of our own.

We recently switched to a new pediatrician for our daughters. They asked, among other ridiculous things, "Are there any guns in the home?". My answer, "None of your business."

I have taught my children to respond with the same if they are asked that when we are not around, such as in school. And if they are asked more than once, to then respond "I want my mom and dad." And then to sit quietly and do not say another word until we arrive.

Oh, one of the other retarded questions asked was:

"Are the parents related in any other way other than marriage?" - Really?

I'm a pediatrician too and those questions are not absurd. We all questions like that because it helps us tailor the advice we give you about your children and also make sure they receive the appropriate care. That information, at least in my care, is purely on the spot and doesn't go in your chart unless i feel it is pertinent in some particular way. Try not to be so paranoid.

You, nor any other Dr., has a right or reason to ask if there are guns in my home. You may ask, but you all will get the same generic response.

Asking if my wife and I are related in any other way that marriage (i.e cousins, siblings etc) is normal? Really? I'll just laugh at that at move on without any stereotypical jokes.

No paranoia. Simply truth and awareness of the world we currently live in.

This^^^^ If knowing I'm a gunowner is pertinent to my childs care, I'll find a pediatrician who can operate with less information. Explain to me on way how knowing if guns are in the house or not is going to help you keep my child healthy and happy. The marriage thing is almost laughable in this day and age.
