My friend with the Dan Wesson has been sold. Less than a week ago.

The FBI uses 10mm submachineguns (MP5/10s)

There are plenty of calibers which offer nearly the same effectiveness as 10mm, from a handgun... but if one wants to carry it, and doesn't mind paying a little more for practice ammo, it's really not as punishing to shoot as some make it out to be... even the heavy DT loads. If you can handle a .40s&w in a subcompact, you can handle 10mm in a mid/full-size gun.

Oddly the "reduced" 10mm load that the FBI went with after testing has the same bullet weight and velocity of the original proposed 10mm in the Bren Ten.Norma souped up the velocity and created a round that was hard on the shooter and the guns.S&W's Tom Cambell an IPSC shooter along with some other factory R&D types came up with the idea to shorten the 10mm case and keep the same ballistics and thus the .40 S&W was born.In 1991 Glock finally brought out the model 20 in 10mm and is still to this day the fastest shooting non comped or ported 10mm made.

Marswolf, I just read your question and the answer is 1 because it's hade to conceal a full sized with just a tee shirt and 2 because there are only two rounds that break the mounting plates on a billestic jel block and they are 357sig and 10mm.

Both of which have great real world stats and I've already got a 357sig so 10mm is the next one.

Mars is no longer with us. If someone that knew him better feels like expounding on this they will be along shortly. If not, well you missed him by about a year.

And I would have loved to sit on the sidelines and watch his response to a 'challenge' of wit so to speak. If history held true, one would need to pack two lunches...because he could eat your lunch and make you like it.

Grumpy ol cuss. One thing's for sure...from him, you'd hear truth and knowledge. I learned a lot just by following his threads.

I am really suprised that no one even considered the S&W 610.. Lou Horton had some 3" models made with rounded butt.. You can find them for sale on Gunbroker.
