Wow! What Pearson is teaching our kids.

In case you didn't know, Pearson is the fine corporation behind the ACT/SAT, TCAPS, most standardized testing and textbooks.  All hail the mighty Pearson who masterfully manipulates and indoctrinates our children.

 

What's worse, teachers are teaching to the test due to data driven outcomes reported to the state who decides if those numbers are good enough.  Further, TN DOE tracks scores among a stratified student base, by ethnicity.  Wait, not really.  Col. A is Caucasians.  Col. B is Ethnic Minority.  (Blacks and Hispanics)  But they removed from Col. B the Asians, and put them under Col. A.  Why would that be exactly?  Looks like cooking the books to me.

you have to give the liberals their due, they will destroy this country one mind at a time if that's what it takes. the direction this country goes is not determined by congress, the voting booth nor the supreme court but by the  way people are programed to think. if the liberals don't know anything else they know this.

"Common Core" curricula is what the problem is and needs to be taken down. For those who think it is

tinfoil, go take a hike. Tennessee is on the verge of finalizing that program, and it will affect home schoolers,

also. Comon Core curricula is the end game for the government taking our children away from us. Put your

reading glasses on and look it up. Haslam supports it, also. That ought to say enough.

 

These teachers are the problem. Saying it isn't within their confines to teach what is known, is hogwash.

That ought to point towards killing the teachers' unions, also.

My wife teaches and has been ranting about Pearson for years. The whole federal ED system is just a cash driven scam and we're footing the bill.

Pearson has a HUGE influence in TN schools. I'm a teacher and it's all around us.

I got 3 more years to decide but can't afford private school and don't know that we're smart enough to home school but dang what can we do. We're in a sad state.
