At the Dentist

Scenario:

While waiting for your kids to have their teeth cleaned, hoodlums
break in with the intent of extracting their gold llings and leaving
no witnesses. Alerted by your kids’ screams, you drop your out-ofdate
magazine and send the precious metal thieves to the pearly
gates before any damage is done to your kids’ pearly whites.

Description:

Starting position is seated at P1, holding a magazine. On the
buzzer, turn fully around, draw and engage T1 from P2 with two
rounds.

2013-008

Advance to P3 and engage T2-T3 with two rounds each.
While in the corridor at P4, using the barrels as cover, engage T4
before finishing o T5-T6 from P5.

Description:

Starting position is at P1, hands relaxed by shooter’s sides.
At the buzzer, draw and engage T1-T2 with three rounds each.
Move to P2 and engage T3.
Kneeling at P3, engage T4-T5 from between the barrels.

Distance vs. Time

Description:
There are two ways to run this stage. The rst will require longer
shots but require less time if the shooter is accurate. The second
requires more distance to travel but has easier, shorter shots.

Option 1:

At the buzzer, draw and engage T1 from the window with two
rounds. Then engage T2-T3 from cover.
Advance to P2 and engage T4 from the barricade.
Advance to P3 and engage T5-T6.

Option 2:

At the buzzer, draw and engage T1-T2 (indicated with blue
numbers) with two rounds each.
Advance to P2 and engage T3 from the barricade.
Move to alternate P3 and engage T4-T5.
Advance to the barrels and engage remaining target T6.

Tac Sequence Accuracy

Description:

Shooter to pre-load all magazines to six rounds only. Stage is not
limited, but needing a make-up shot will require an extra reload!
Starting position is behind the barrel, hands relaxed by shooter’s
sides.

At the buzzer, draw and engage targets in tactical sequence.
Shooter may not move from behind the barrel.

I'm not afraid to share.... (especially when the stages are revolver neutral!!!)

Great match last night. It seemed to run smoothly, and just flowed right along. It was over before it started as time seemed to evaporate. Four great stages. The first one started off at the dentist. I liked the sideways no shoots and the barrels obscuring the view on portions of the hallways (screwing up everyone's tac-loads.) I loved stages with options like Distance vs. Time. I took the distance and it worked out well. D.J. took the (short) option and edged me by less than a second and half, winning the stage! The 2013-008 stage was also cool and I got to take the prone position option. I learned (or should say relearned) that your soft cap can get in the way when you're shooting at an up angle. Surprisingly, my on the ground speedload went well and I was able to make good time even with the odd positioning. All that earned me a second (very distance) place overall, almost 20 seconds behind David... ... I'll work on it!

Thanks again David and Mick for putting it on and everyone for pitching in.

See you all at the next one!

You're quite welcome, and I'm very happy to hear everyone had a good time.  I especially enjoyed seeing a revolver shooter do so well.  I've promised some wheelgun competition for Jim, but I can't come close to reloading like he does!

See you guys on the 23rd.
