Northern republicans are often what we call democrats. The exceptions are when they're practicing catholics i.e. social conservatives or self proclaimed fiscal hawks=rinos like corker. Especially in new england, they're just Statist-lite w/half the entitlements but same great flavor of b.s.

I would love to know all the details to this story.  It seems extremely bizarre.  Now that he is more than likely going to jail, he will be able to get all the lovin' he desires.  He won't even have get anybody drunk.

I wouldn't be surprised if a good lawyer gets him found 'not guilty' by emphasizing how he is oppressed by a cruel society because he is gay.  The PC crowd will be willing to overlook illegal and improper use of a firearm as long as such usage was perpetrated by one of their 'protected' groups.  After all, it couldn't have been his fault - instead, it is the fault of lax gun laws allowing him to purchase and own the evil, terrible firearm in the first place.
