HCP Class Surprises

A lady at my HCP class in 2000 could not hold the rented revolver up long enough to squeeze 2 rounds in a row. She failed her first target with a rented .38. The instructor held his hand up so she could rest the gun on it for her second try. She passed. She was 70 or 75 and was a victim of a recent assault, so I think the instructors wanted her to pass at all cost. Plus I think they were advertising dont pass/ don't pay.

Wow. I have mixed feelings about that.

I don't understand the people who never have fired a gun and run and get a handgun carry permit.  Wouldn't you want to practice shooting before carrying a gun?
