That author looked happy.

They can only tax until you don't have anything left. I wonder what they think will happen then?

As usual they haven't given that any thought.  They just make this stuff up as it occurs to them.

them people are looking at how much has been spent on guns and ammo in the last year and calculating how much money they missed out on.

Why do I, a law abiding gun owner have to pay the tab for criminals who use guns illegally?

These people are simply idiots.

No matter how you feel about smoking, we allowed the politicians to tax that product to death so what makes anyone think that IF we allow them to start a little tax on ammo that it will not grow and grow and grow.....

Hey guys, you do know you're in TN, don't you? Have you looked at your receipt after you bought a gun or ammo. We've been taxed on them for years. State sales tax on both and an extra 10 cents per box for ammo, so far.

The only real difference is we're being taxed to raise revenue and the others are being taxed as a punishment. Either way, you're taxed to excercise your 2nd Amendment rights. That's no better than a poll tax.

So, they are allowed to tax us on guns, like we have money coming out our ears, but when we want something as simple as proving who you are to vote, Oh no we can't do that cause that would cause some people not to be allowed to vote because they can't pay for an ID? That doesn't make since. You can tax us for our second amendment right, but not for your right to vote? that just aint right. But then again, We have common sense. I am almost sure that somewhere along the line when you get into any "Public Office" you have to sign away your rights to common sense.....

Sometimes, I wish I did not have any common sense left. it would make some things so much easier to take......but oh well.....I guess it is a gift.

The TN legislature has been violating our state constitution for years and taxing both the sale of firearms, and ammo.  You'll note in the speeches by the gun grabbers in Chicago, they note our laws in TN as the inspiration of their law.

Maybe, instead of trying to pass legislation to restrict property rights, we should be pushing the legislature to repeal these constitutional laws?
