44 Minutes--The North Hollywood Shootout

This is an account of the bank robbery on Feb. 28, 1997, in which two BGs armed with AKs hit a Bank of America in north Los Angeles. The ensuing gun battle gave the LAPD 44 teachable moments that despite what liberals tell you, sometimes an evil black rifle is a handy thing to have. The movie run time is about twice as long because Hollywood just has to throw in some yah-yah stuff.

Here's a bit if stupidity here for you. The gun store that gave the LAPD officers the weapons to take down the BGs ended up closing due to legislation that was passed after the fact.

The guys at B&B Guns apparently didn't so much as bat an eye when officers came in saying they were in trouble and needed weapons better than their own. Gave them what they needed.

Bonus info, my old store was a block away from the bank. I know people who were there that day who still can't believe it. One guy said he stood outside his shop for five minutes dumbfounded that what would have been cheesy in a movie was actually happening in real life right in front of him.
