My first thought was that it must have been in Japan where they have lots of little folks and rice paper walls but......it was in Alabama.  Reckon they got the caliber right?

When it says, "exited the victim," it does not say where he was shot.  Probably went through his arm or something without loosing much velocity.  I've seen a number of shootings, and none of them were with hollow points or any self defense round.  I imagine this to be same in this case; probably a "flesh wound" with fmj bullet.
