Remember when politicians thought The Constitution was something to abide by instead something that impedes their agenda? There were conservatives on both sides (and you could barely tell them apart by their voting record). Edited by BigK

remember when you knew your paperboy and he delivered that paper on his bicycle, without a helmet AND he collected payment each month by walking door to door?

 remember when the only mischief you got into was trying to get in the pants of the girl down the street

Remember saying prayers in schools and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance

Yep! From kindergarten till my old age, been always proud and the first to take off my hat, place my right hand over my heart and cite "The Pledge of Allegiance".

Removing prayer from public school and events makes me nauseous.

Remember when you could drive down the road and people would wave at you (with all 4 fingers instead of one)?

Remember when gentlemen pulled over for a funeral procession, got out of their cars and removed their hats?

ummmm...remember when gas was $1.30 a gallon? Or 9mm was $11 per box of 50? lol

sorry im still in my 20's and dont have much to contribute to the "remember when" reminiscing. but i tried?

I actually remember when Premium went over $1.00 per gallon at the "expensive" gas stations. I thought "Who in the world would pay $1.05 for a doggone gallon of gas??"

And I am "only" 37.

Remember when the Vice-Principle pulled a group of kids that hunted over to his car in the school parking lot to show them his new .30/06 deer gun? I do. Of course, I went to a rural school that was K-12 and my graduating class was 32 people....

Remember when TV's had antennae with foil on them, and your dad considered you the remote?

Remember when you could walk to the store without your parents worrying about your safety?

Remember when mothers collectively watched over the children in the neighborhood, and they would warm your butt just as fast as your parents did if you acted up bad enough?

Remember being able to open the hood of your car or truck and see the pavement in a lot of places?

I remember riding my bicycle to school with my Remington 513-T slung over my shoulder.  Once a cop stopped me. He wanted to know what ammo shot best in my rifle.  (Remington Target).  The school had an indoor .22 range.  I locked the rifle and ammo up in my locker during class.
