Got to love folks who believe, truely believe that they KNOW what is best for everyone, and desires nothing more than to FORCE it upon them, willingly or unwillingly, doesn't matter because it is for the "greater good".

Personally I think that anyone & everyone who suffers from tyrannical personality disorder syndrome should be stood, (willingly or unwillingly, it doesn't matter because it's for the "greater good") ... against a pock-marked wall.

I think that way because MY children are, in fact, MINE. They are very privatized and will continue to stay that way. I also send them to a private school that I vetted, lined up with our morals, and chose as to prevent this type of indoctrination.

 

Dang scary to know that some people actually believe the crap that this woman is spewing.

Communities raising kids is working out well. When kids don't know their daddy and mommy's a crack ho/meth head/etc... well the community steps on up and we get gangbangers.

I have heard some homeschoolers being told by the state that they cannot homeschool their kids. Still will tax you though for public schools. If the government would just let me pick and choose what services my tax dollars go to. I for one don't have children yet, but I am being forced to pay taxes to the public schools( yes, my hard earned tax dollars are sending your kids to school). And yet when it comes down to the rankings in the world, we aren't even in the top ten.

 

Public schools aren't like they used to be. Now all it seems is they want you to obey the state, have no free-thinking skills and believe anyone who thinks differently than the "brainwashed by the government" thinking is a conspiracy therorist or crazy.

 

I'm all for the parents to be able to choose who teaches their children. The state should keep it's nose out of it period. But the state is only interested in producing more "wage slaves".

They're working on the homeschoolers too now. New placement standards and equivalencies will mandate that they implement Common Core guidelines in testing for SATs/ACTs. It's on every front. There are few remaining bastions of freedom, liberty or critical thought.

Wow, that's crazy. I got fed up with government school last year and put all my kids in private. Scary stuff.
