Boker Nano - specs added

I picked this up not long ago. I'd had my eye on one with the toxic green scale, but when they made a limited run with orange, I knew I had to have one. 440c is decent stuff, and the diminutive size of this feels just right to me. It's a production version of a David Curtiss custom, also named the Nano.

  • Overall Length: 4-3/4"
  • Blade Length: 1-7/8"
  • Weight: 2.8 oz.
  • Handle Material: Zytel

Looks like a sweet little folder, I am loving the scales & the shape of the blade, not sure if I'd want the top exposed edge sharp (is it sharpened or just contoured?) The clip looks decent & the frame lock tab looks easy to access, anyway exacly how big/small is the knife? Granted 440C doesn't get much love from knife guys mostly because it isn't a rare boutique steel or the latest/greatest alloy, but 440C makes for a decent "random task" blade, especially on such a small knife, it's really all you'd want or need.

Looks like a heavy little folder for it's size.  How thick is the blade?  I like the "nessmuck" contour!

The swedge on the top is not sharp. I think it adds to the overall appeal of the blade shape.

The pocket clip is the same one that the designer uses on his custom version.

I love Dave's work.  Big fan.  I was really happy when he teamed with Boker to make an affordable and readily available version for the masses!

I'm a big fan of Boker. That looks like it needs a new home in my knife drawer. Yes, I have a knife drawer. Lol
