I guess the NRA is trying to piss me off today

Today in the mail, I received a package from the NRA with a DVD, collector coin and stuff.

1.  I never ordered this

2.  There is a return envelope for me to either sent them a payment for said item or return said item.

If they try to make me pay for this, I will never sign up again.

Also I am someone aware this law"

Federal law makes it illegal for companies to send you something you didn't order and then bill you for it."

I have kinda known about this law for a while, but never applied to me.

very dated article. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/CreativeConsumer/story?id=2532869#.UV4ycUoU-tY

Then on the back of the letter, it even tells me "Because you didn't ask for this speical DVD, you don't have to participate or send it back and can consider it a free gift."

Well, I am going to consider it a free gift and I am not going to sent a reply for something I didn't ask for in the first place.

On top of this they have called my cell so many times over the past 2 months.

Hmmmm. Did you recently sign up for the lifetime deal? Just wondering. I usually get whatever piece of money-request mailings the NRA sends out, but haven't gotten anything like this.

Nope, not made any membership changes.  still have 2 years on my current membership.

I do like the challenge coin they sent.

I don't go far out of my way to get to many but if I see one I like, like shot glasses I buy a few along.

This shit is simple.. Watch the DVD. learn something and send it back in the no postage envelope... I received it also.. Read the letter that was sent with the DVD before casting stones....

Yep. You don't have to send it back or pay for it.

Correct. You'll get at least one followup, too, asking to send it back or pay for it. With the same thing in small print, that you don't have to.

I have and it makes me mad too!

Why? I have the Founding Fathers and D-Day one, and it's pretty good. REAL good for free. :)

I went through a similar episode with the North American hunting club.....three times. Even after opting out of the crap. I was a Life member and finally told them to shove it up their _ _ _.......I kept getting threatening and condescending letters and phone calls even after I told them I wasn't sending the crap back and wasn't paying for it because I never ordered it. six months after I told them to recend my life membership, I got a letter that said my "case" had been resolved..... Still. Makes me mad as hell.

SAF sends us stuff all the time and you can't get any more legit than them. It's just what businesses do these days... Gotta wring every last bit of blood out of the turnip.
