May I make a suggestion...

If you have pull down attic stairs might I suggest you carefully verify that nothing has no fallen onto them from your piles of clutter since you last ventured up there.

Doing so could possibly help avoid having those pesky table legs in storage from sliding down and bouncing off your face. It could also prevent evenings in Emergency Rooms, stitches, and poor visibility through the resulting swollen eye.

That is all. Have a nice day.

Oh and might I also suggest the helpful folks at Stones Crest Hospital for all of your suture needs. They get two big thumbs up!

Aww... damn. That hurts just thinking about it. Never had anything that bad happen... just the usual insulation falling in my face or something.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery! They give you any happy pills? :D

I do have my fair share of happy medication. They however did not provide any additional items for my stash.

Sounds like the military. :D

"Oh, your leg got amputated by a mortar round? Well... take this motrin and see if it helps. Meanwhile we'll write you a 24 hr pass from work."

Motrin = cure all, miracle, drug in the Air Force.

Ouch and double owie! That sounds so like something that would happen to me! I am a Murphy (seriously, my maiden name)!!

And for those that have no idea what I mean *sheesh* Murphy's Law, If anything can go wrong, it will!

Wikipedia: Murphy's law is an adage in Western culture that broadly states "if anything can go wrong, it will." It is also cited as: "If there's more than one possible outcome of a job or task, and one of those outcomes will result in disaster or an undesirable consequence, then somebody will do it that way"; "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong"; or, "Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way". ;)

Hope you are ok! I know that had to hurt like the dickens!

That reminds me when I was in Hawaii in the Marines. I had a kidney stone just killing me. The Navy doc gave me Tylenol3 and sent me on my way. Well, after 3 days and nights of excruciating pain, it finally passed surprisingly easy. I never went back to do a follow up.

That must have been a very small kidney stone or you are one hell of a tough guy...;)

First off, hope you heal up quick.

Secondly, please tell me your wife, girlfriend or somebody got it on video. Its not like I have a perverse sense of humor where I like seeing accidents...well...ok, actually thats exactly it...:)

Stonecrest is a top notch group of people. I'm not happy with how fast this area is growing, but having a good hospital and ER that close is awfully nice at times.

"Wow, what happened?"

"Dropped a table on my face."

Hard to top that one. Hope you're feeling better.

Oh dang that must have hurt!! Hope you get well soon. Let me tell you about one of my childhood screw-ups, it might make you feel better.....

I was about 13 and wasn't afraid to try about anything, so I tried getting a ride the hard way on the platform that's on the back of a typical mechanics ..... last thing I remember was jumping......

I went under a 16' tandem axle trailer and came out the back. My mom heard the neighbors yelling and came out to see what was going on. I was bloody and laying in the limestone gravel road that ran through the trailer park we were living in at the time.

I got 2 black eyes, fracture in the back of my skull, fractured my left ankle (the doc said if I wasn't wearing cowboy boots that it would have broken it clean), got some stiches in my head, and spent a week in the hospital.

Now I also got stiches somewhere else that I CAN GARUANTEE NO MAN (or boy) EVER WANTS THEM. That's right, I got 4 stitches in the end of my "boyhood" where a rock cut through my jeans. I thought the shot hurt when they numbed it, but that needle must have had water in it because when they went to stitching, it HURT LIKE H3LL!!

You fellows can laugh now, as I can too. But as I lay there on that hospital bed watching, it was no laughing matter..... lesson learned.....I'm not Superman!!

Note to self...

don't go skeet, target, rabbit, deer, turkey, mad-squirrel, ground hog or any other kind of shooting with Guns&Dobes... cause Murphy will be there!

Well, I was a Marine. :-)

Another time about 10 years agao I was using a post driver driving post into the ground for a chain link fence if you know what that is. I was bringing it up on the post and it got caught on the lip of the post and come straight down on the top of my head. It took me to my knees for a couple minutes with blood running down the side of my face.

"IF" I had went to the doctor I'm sure it would've took stitches but I just threw a bandage on it and went onto work the next day. All is well.

Besides the kidney stone, the only other time I ever been to the doctor was about 4 years ago for a fractured wrist playing basketball. If I had known it was just a fracture I probably wouldn't have gone then. I was still able to play my banjo with a cast on though. :-)

I am recovering just fine. I am on the beach in Florida, ok well I was on the beach now I am in the condo cleaning up for dinner. All is well as long as I keep the wound dry for the next couple days.

Here is hoping you guys got some of the rain I drove through in South Alabama yesterday back home in Tennessee. I know my yard needed it and we drove through at least 100 miles of heavy rain.
