Batman?

He apparently beats his family, so he's out.

I like Ridge, and he could probably bring Pennsylvania, but the ultra conservatives (already suspicious of McCain) would stroke out at his pro-life positions.

Jindal is a rising star. I like him too. But he is exactly HALF of McCain's age, and that will only bring more attention to it.

Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska, wouldn't bring much electoral vote wise, but she would provide a big convention bump and soften McCain's mean uncle image. Conservatives love her. Plus, she's pretty hot.

Romney makes the most sense, but McCain doesn't like him. Romney could help raise large cash, and maybe put Michigan in McCain's column. He would also bolster McCain's shaky economic credentials.

KBH would not be a good selection. Texas will already go for McCain, and she's not a great speaker or campaigner. McCain is terrible on the stump....he needs a good orator on the ticket with him.

too young for the conservative right. Maybe 2012.

Oh well. He's still my choice.

That's my choice! Anyone bright enough to take on the idiots trying to declare the Polar Bears as an endangered species and telling the idiots in DC Alaska WANTS to start drilling is good enough to be the VP!

Needs a female or a black to offset Obama. I wish it was not so but it is. There are many fine female and black people who would make a fine President and/or Vice President but it seems the American people do not want them, they want smoke and mirrors.

Shoot the RINO's, they're attacking! Use the DEMS as bait!

Palin. Best of both worlds. Good looking and good for you!

Romney or Jindal. Considering that Jindal has been talked about a lot in the media as a top pick, almost as much as Romney....why isn't he in the poll? The news is "reporting" that McCain may very well pick his VP by the end of the week. This is either a diversion to keep the medias love affair with Obama's trip down...or he will be giving something away for the media to go after early. Im no politician...but I would think you would want them to keep on guessing so they have no one to attack. The fact that the DNC is before the RNC is an advantage IMHO.

It would be a major tactical mistake to announce his pick before Obama does. I really hope he waits until right after the Democrats convention.

I'd love for him to pick Fred Thompson, but Fred isn't interested.

OJ Simpson. J/K

I think Colin Powell would make a good 1 but he wouldnt take the job. Plus it would help with the Black Vote.

McCain would never offer it.

Because that's the only way Paul could become President.

Paul would never accept it.

Because that's the only way McCain could become President.

All kidding aside I think that McCain should pick Angela Davis as his Veep.

That would satisfy the libs and the third party types.

Colin Powell is a RINO. I'd just has soon have Rudy as VP.
