Downtown Nashville bars posted?

I have some buddies coming from out-of-town this weekend, and they plan to do a pub crawl in downtown Nashville.  I'll be going as the designated driver, and would like to carry..  Anyone know if most of the places are posted or not?

Most of the 'tourist' spots are, I think.  Was there a couple months back and some weren't.  Tootsies was posted and had a security guy frisking at the door. :rant:

Take pepper spray and have a good time. Downtown Nashville's tourist zone isn't exactly the southside of Chicago.

I'd even say take it with you, but lock it in the glove compartment. Should be fine downtown, pretty heavily patrolled.

Cars are broken in to all the time in downtown Nashville. A glovebox locked gun has the chance to wind up in the hands of someone else. I would either leave it at home or lock it in a gun safe either bolted in or with a cable. And most of the nice bars are posted. Most of the others have security like previously mentioned, and Metro cops are out and about on the weekends quite visibly downtown.

I had a few too many to drink there one night and broke up a fight. It was 3 on 1 and he wasn't moving. So pretty unfair even if the lone guy started it. Luckily they didn't turn on me. There was a guy came up to me later and said he had my back if they did. Lol he was ex army and noticed my Marine Corps hat.
