Academy Sports + Ammunition

Was shopping for 9mm about two weeks ago in Knoxville. Academy was thin, WalMart(s) had zero, Gander Mountain was flush.

 

Paid $16.99 for 50 rounds of Blazer Brass, long gone the days of gold old Red Box Federal Champion for $12.97 at WM and $14.99 at my local LGS...

 

Please with the performance of the BB ammo, std 115gr fmj. Shot a bunch of it through a Glock 17, CZ75 and MK9 at Randy's recent training session in Knoxville.

 

No malfunctions and pretty clean shooting stuff, I'd buy it again.

It's not on their website map yet, so it's obviously not in operation yet.

There was an article in the Leaf Chronicle the other day saying the city approved their license. I didn't look for an opening date or location, but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Exit 4.

Any of you guys tried "LuckyGunner" in Knoxville? It's not a walk-in store, online sales only. Depending on what the local in-store prices are, you may pay a few pennys more per round with the shipping charges included. But if you're looking for ammo, per box, or bulk, they're the only place to go. Best prices on the internet, and incredibly fast delivery. I've place orders with them at 4pm on a Friday, and had it on my doorstep Monday morning. But, like the local stores, sometimes they have problems with keeping inventory up. Just my $0.02 worth.
