SKS value question

Hello fellow gun lovers - I have a question

What would the cost be for a Chinese SKS (unmodified) with bayonette. Are serial numbers relevant for value? The gun is in great shape -

What would the cost be for a Russian SKS on a Polymer Stock without bayonette. Are serial numbers relevant for value? The gun is in great shape -

Thank you

Numbers matching is worth a bit to a collector, the amount varies based on the model.  I'd put a really nice Norinco in the $400-ish range.

A tacti-cooled Russian?  Sacrilege!!  :panic:     To me... not worth much unless the original parts were available.  Maybe $300-ish.

It's really been amazing to see what they have been selling for on gunbroker. Even prepanic.

I would value both your SKS's at $300 each locally, but would not be surprised to see them go for double that on GB.

Matching serial numbers are critical to collectors.

$400 all day long on most SKS models these days. not sure about the russian though. lack of a bayonet and original stock is a turnoff for most. maybe $300 unless its a nice stock. then MAYBE $350.

I personally dont mind a modernized sks, if it works for the shooter...why hate on it. An sks was the first rifle I could afford back in the day so I tricked it out. Granted I went back to original parts over time...but it performed just as well "tacticool".
