i ordered it from cmp,it took 65 day to get it after they recieved the order for it and 600 rounds of ammo.i ask for a low sn and original stock.rifle is a 43 springfield service grade made in 1943.i got lucky with it because it is one that was sent to the marines in GUAM. the sn is on a list of rifles shiped there. it also has the 0-66 on it showing it was reworked by the marines.it has all correct parts except the new var barrel  installed by cmp.i also got a ww2 ammo can in with my order of ammo

i hope to shoot it this weeken ,igot it took apart and cleaned and grease added where it was needed

I also have a Garand from June 1941. Mine also had a 1953 barrel installed. Fun to shoot and a piece of history. Congratulations!!!

i shot it at the range today using 1945 dated ammo from canada.i think it will shot better than what i can get out of it at 100 yards.my eyes are not what they were afew years ago.

love them things.   Makes me feel like Cage on the old TV show Combat when I shoot mine.  Which reminds me that it needs to go to the range soon.

 

You got a nice looking US Rifle Caliber 30 M1 on your hands.

op rod is a wra and the ammo shot great at 100 yards.keeping all my brass just in case i deside to get into reloading
