Hello from out of town

Hello all. A buddy told me about this site when he was checking out some Kentucky sites. Me and the wife had thought of relocating and Tennessee is among the states we are looking at. Seems politically and culturally we fit in much more down in dixie. I was educated in the Sovereign state of Alabama. While I was in college I went to Tennessee a few times. We had rodeo's at UT-Martin. Never got to see the campus, but it had great rodeo facilities and very pretty cowgirls. I also was in Clarksville when I was seven. My brother was in the Army at the time. I forget if he was in TN or KY.

A bit about me.

Well I always supported the second amendment but never owned a gun but daddy's shotgun. This changed in 2010 when there was a shooting in my neighborhood and our car was hit. Had my wife been home 10 minutes earlier from church she would have been hit. That weekend for our 7th anniversary we bought our first guns. I got a Glock 17 and she got a EAA .38 special. I wanted an AR15, but the wife did not want  me to get anything "that big" until I knew what I was doing so I got a Smith & Wesson M&P15-22. At first the wife never wanted to get permits or shoot more than every few months.

That did not last long. We both have our concealed carry permits and are range members. Until this crazy run on ammo we shot every week. Now we probably go three times every four or five weeks.

I am conservative from the word go. I am pro-God, Pro-gun, and anti-Obama. I also have a pet issue of stopping illegal immigration, but its an uphill battle.

Hobbies include playing guitar and Alabama football.

Can't think of much else.

On the police Icon. I was an auxillary officer at one point. Would love to be again, but as sick as criminals are I fear I would lose my badge very quickly. Someone rapes some kid I would probably bring them in with 412 bones.

I'm new here as well. I was feeling all warm and fuzzy for someone from my home state...until your affiliation with Bear Bryant's boys, lol. But, I've been enlightened after living in Vol country for so long.
War Eagle or Roll Tide...both are music to our ears after being surrounded by Orange:)

Glad to see a 'Baman here!

Hey I love the SEC. I actually rooted for Auburn and LSU when Bama was out of it. We all know we get jipped most of the time if the polls get away with it. Except Florida, but Florida is not really part of the south anymore.

What are five things you will never hear in the state of Tennessee ( bear with me)

5, Nathan Bedford Who?

4 I'll have the egg white and turkey bacon on a multi-grain instead of biscuits and gravy.

3 I have it all saved on hard drive

2, You don't need that many guns ( any freedom loving state, but especially dixie)
