I am confused as to why ammo is in such short supply.  Every ammo maker is working long hours and putting out as much if not more than they ever have so where the hell is it all going?  Panic buyers cannot be snapping it all up can they?  Is the government buying so much as to act as a defacto gun control measure?

I'm beginning to think we won't see normal supplies until after some SHTF-esque event occurs and those hoarding ammo for Obammageddon realize they have enough to survive and then some.

Got an alert from Midway at 19:12 today that "Hornady Critical Defense Ammunition 9mm Luger 115 Grain Flex Tip eXpanding Box of 25" was in.  By the time I noticed the alert 19:16 and tried to order they were out...

As long as people buy ammo from walmart and others at normal prices and can resell them for twice to three times the price, this will continue.
