ALERT ALERT ALERT - PLEASE REPOST!!!!!

Knife Rights comprehensive Knife law reform bill in Tennessee HB0581 is in trouble. There is one legislator standing in the way of this bill that passed the Tennessee legislature 27 – 3. He has decided that this important and popular bill should fail. His name is Representative Mike Harrison. Please call and email his office immediately and politely insist that he move HB0581 out of his committee. His email address is: rep.mike.harrison@capitol.tn.gov His office phone is 615- 741-7480

HB0581 would allow the possession of automatic/switchblade knives and enact knife law preemption which would make the state the sole authority on knife laws, creating consistency throughout Tennessee. Please contact Rep Harrison NOW!

You can read HB0581 here:http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/108/Bill/HB0581.pdf

It might help to remind Rep Harrison that Speaker Harwell is not one of his constituents and will be no help to him in the next election.

BTW, his district is #9, Hancock and Hawkins counties.  If you are in that district, you might want to call his office at (423) 235-6803 or (615) 741-7480.  Emails should go to 'rep.mike.harrison@capitol.tn.gov'.

Should I email or call him even though I am not in his district?

Thanks to the phone calls and emails Tennessee Representative Mike Harrison has agreed to hear HB0581 the Tennessee Knife Rights Bill, on April 3. It is important to contact him and THANK him for agreeing to hear the bill and also to ask him to vote YES on HB0581 when it is heard.

His email address is: rep.mike.harrison@capitol.tn.gov His office phone is 615- 741-7480

THEN it is CRITICAL that you contact the following members of the committee to ask them to vote YES when it is heard on April 3.

Rep. Joe Armstrong - rep.joe.armstrong@capitol.tn.gov 615-741-0768

Please contact Rep Harrison and the others on the committee NOW if you live in or travel to/through Tennessee!

Even if you are not in their districts you can still call or write. There is no law, that I am aware of, that says you can only call or write your own representative. You can even call or write representative from other states. It isn't likely they would even verify you are not in their district.

In my opinion that if you live in the state they still listen, however if you live in their district they REALLY listen.

Regardless the calls from around TN are having an effect please keep them coming and ask your relatives, friends gun range buddies etc....
