If only liberals would practice what they preach we wouldn't have this problem in a generation.

The logic of this escapes most people. Common sense isn't very common anymore.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! I am very frustrated with people from both sides of the aisle talking about "common sense" things. Our education system has so poorly educated people that they don't even understand what the word "common" means anymore. There is no more common sense because half the country doesn't agree with the other half.

What defines a liberal or liberalism?  The meaning of the word has changed so much over the years that it really has become nothing more than a derogatory term for the other side.  I believe the same thing can be said of conservatism.  Most who claim to be conservative or liberal are really neither from a traditional or classical viewpoint.  While I claim to be conservative, most of my views are really from the school of classical liberalism.

Regarding most "liberal" politicians of today, I think a better label would be statist, authoritarian, and in some cases, down right totalitarian.  The same could be said of some on the "conservative" side of the aisle.

Too many. It's really becoming hard pressed to find anyone even remotely loyal to the flag or the Constitution

in the House or Senate. You don't want my opinion about the White House.

Statist is a good choice of words, Mav. Exactly what most are.

That's what I've been talking about!

But Liberals never practice what they preach.

"Do what I say not as I do"

Wait............... Sounds like our dear leader.

I believe the term of choice today is "Progressive".

Actually "statists" are what they really are.

Libs are ashamed of who they are and are always redefining the meaning of words to hide behind.
